Every year I look forward to this walk for Alzheimers as it gives me a time to reflect and help raise awareness.

  I am walking with a group of friends here in Goderich where I now live. We have connected through stories of our family & friends whom we have lost or are living with dementia and Alzheimers.

I walk in honour of my Mom, Helen who passed away in 2016. If you knew my Mom, she had an infectious laugh, was kindhearted and everyone loved her.

This walk is important as we’ve watched my best friend, Deb’s wife, Mary pass away because of Alzheimers. This disease had taken her love of adventure and love of life itself.

 Also, I walk for my friend Tony that lost his wife, Susan much too soon.
