Hi! I’m back for another walk for my mom, Ada Abbott.
Before anything else, I want to sincerely thank everyone who supported me last year. Because of your incredible generosity, I exceeded my fundraising goal, and I’m still so grateful for the love and support surrounding my mom, our family, and this cause.
My mom is living with dementia, and walking beside her through this journey has changed me deeply.
As one of her primary caregivers, I’ve seen firsthand the heartbreak, the quiet moments, the confusion, and also the unexpected moments of beauty and connection that still shine through. This journey has taught me how important it is to slow down, live in the moment, and cherish the time we have together.
My mom has always been such an inspirational woman. She loved beauty, fashion, decorating, family traditions, and making people feel special. Even while living with this disease, her spirit still shines through in so many ways. There are moments where a smile, a familiar scent, or a simple conversation reminds me that she is still very much there.
That’s why I’m participating again in the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s in Stratford on Saturday, May 30.
I’m walking for my mom.
I’m walking for caregivers.
I’m walking for families navigating the emotional reality of dementia every single day.
Most of all, I’m walking to help raise awareness and funds so families can access the programs, support, and resources that make such a meaningful difference during an incredibly difficult journey.
Thank you for supporting me, my mom, and all families affected by dementia. Every donation, no matter the amount, truly makes a difference.
