Thank you for supporting me in raising awareness and funds that will make a difference in the lives of people living with dementia, their caregivers and families.
My mother, Judy, was an RN in a nursing home for over 30 years. She cared for patients with Alzheimer’s, dementia and various other health ailments. She was an incredible nurse, a loving mother and friend and just the most amazing woman ever. She could read and knit at the same time, something I’ve tried, but just can’t accomplish. Sorry mom, you rocked out in this one.
She retired in 2005 and enjoyed 12 years of retirement bliss. 2017 arrived with a diagnosis of vascular dementia. This was devastating to my sister and I. We watched her slip away over the years until her passing in 2023. Now I live with my father and care for him as he navigates through his diagnosis of the same vascular dementia. I am walking for both of them, and myself as well as, I’m sure I will likely face the same diagnosis.
Help me raise money on behalf of the Alzheimer Society, so they can meet the growing demand for programs and services. These and other resources make all the difference in the way that people affected by dementia are able to manage the disease and live life to the fullest.
Thank you for whatever donation you can make. No matter how small or big, you are making a difference in the lives of people affected by dementia. Donate Now!
Thank you again for your generous commitment and support.
