We are proud to share that Extendicare York will be supporting the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s — a cause deeply connected to our mission and the lives of those we care for.

As many of you know, dementia affects many of our past and present residents, as well as some of our own family members and friends. As more people are impacted, the need for Alzheimer Society programs and services continues to grow. These services play a vital role in helping people manage the disease and live life to the fullest.

While the official walk takes place in Sudbury on May 24, 2025, we’ll be hosting our own local walk here at Extendicare York so that our residents, families, and staff can take part together.

We’re walking to show solidarity, raise awareness, and support Alzheimer Society programs that truly make a difference. Our team has set a fundraising goal of $500, and we would be so grateful for your support.
