On May 30, 2026, I will be participating in the Alzheimer's Walk here in North Bay, ON. I am walking on behalf of my Daddio's family and extended family who have suffered with Alzheimer's or Dementia.
My Nana (Clara Lemkay), Aunt Doris and Uncle Mark Miller, Uncle Harold (Sam) and Aunt Thurley Lemkay, and my cousin Robin Fisher. Just over a year ago, my Dad, Brian Lemkay was diagnosed. While he is currently in the early stages, this disease has already affected him, my Mom and our family. We have reached out for help, but given the area they live in, (Muskoka/Parry Sound) help is hard to find.
Help me raise money on behalf of the Alzheimer Society, so they can meet the growing demand for programs and services. These and other resources make all the difference in the way that people affected by dementia are able to manage the disease and live life to the fullest.
