Hey there, we're the Runny Babbitts and we're raising money to support the Alzheimer's society here in Thunder Bay, on Saturday May 24th. Well actually, we're raising money now, the walk comes after the money is raised, but let's not get bogged down with details.

The good news is that thanks to the shoulders of giants, we have prolonged the average human lifespan significantly. The bad news is that because we grow older, more of us will experience cognitive health decline, like with diseases such as this; first diagnosed by Alois Alzheimer, the disease that bears his name has a tremendous and painful impact on those who have it and their loved ones who care for them. But some more good news is that we don't have to accept this. We can make it easier (if only slightly) for those affected by donating in support of their needs. We are participating in the Walk this year because dementia sucks and we hope that as a community we can lessen its heavy burden through Alzheimer Society programs and services. These services make all the difference in the way that people are able to navigate the disease.

Our group's goal is to raise $100 per person, so if someone you know asked you to donate, make sure you click there name, and know that even 10$ is a great help because together, when you add them all up, the 10 dollar bills start to go a long way.
