Thank you for supporting me in raising awareness and funds that will make a difference in the lives of people living with dementia, their caregivers and families.
This year, I am walking for my Grandma. Alzheimer's affected her at a young age and changed our lives forever. She was diagnosed with young-onset dementia when I was 13 years old. Dementia is a very isolating diagnosis that leaves a 13-year-old's brain spiralling. At the time, I didn't know what this meant or where to turn for support. This is why I believe supporting The Walk for Alzheimer's is so important. The Alzheimer Society is a place of support that helps people navigate such a scary diagnosis and provides community.
Not only am I walking to honour my grandma's journey, but also to show other 13-year-olds who may receive this news that they are not alone and there are places to turn for support.
Thank you for whatever donation you can make. No matter how small or big, you are making a difference in the lives of people affected by dementia. Donate Now!
Thank you again for your generous commitment and support.
