For many years, I’ve proudly participated in the Walk for Alzheimer’s in Timmins, a cause that is deeply personal to me and so important to our community.
This year’s walk carries even greater meaning, as I will be walking in memory of my grandmother, who recently passed away after living with dementia/Alzheimer’s. Watching someone you love go through this disease is incredibly difficult, and I’ve seen firsthand the impact it has not only on those affected, but also on their families and caregivers.
I’m walking to honour her memory, to support families facing similar journeys, and to help raise funds for local programs, support services, and research that make a real difference in the lives of those living with Alzheimer’s and dementia.
Thank you for your support, generosity, and for helping us continue the fight against this disease. Every donation truly makes a difference.
