Thank you for supporting me in raising awareness and funds that will make a difference in the lives of people living with dementia, their caregivers and families. 

My whole family was impacted by dementia when my dad developed dementia several years ago and he ultimately passed away on December 28, 2016.   Dementia took a toll on everyone as our family dynamic shifted to caregiving, grieving the loss of my dad even while he was still with us and keeping my dad safe as his dementia progressed quite rapidly.   It was an expensive and emotionally difficult journey - especially for my mom who was his partner in life for over 50 years.   

The Alzheimer's Society of Toronto was a resource that we depended upon for resources and guidance and I am glad to be able to participate in the Walk for Alzheimer's on May 27th to ensure that they have the funds they need to offer programs and services to everyone impacted by dementia, including caregivers, family members and loved ones.
