What the mind can’t remember, the heart never forgets

I remember the first time I heard the words Alzheimer's Disease, I was a teenager and the words did not carry much weight to them. It would take several years for those words to feel heavy and when they did they were the heaviest load I'd ever had to carry.

As a teenager I became a secondary caregiver to my Nonna, it was my turn to take care of the woman who always cared for me. I am forever grateful to the resources I had available to me especially @alzheimercanada

On May 24th 2025, I will be participating in the Alzheimer's Walk and raising money in support of the Alzheimer Society.
