If you are at my page - then you likely know how important the work of AST is to me personally and the story of my mum.  This summer, on July 2nd - my mum will turn 99!  Born the same year as Queen Elizabeth, somehow mum managed to outlive even the Queen.  She outlived her 3 siblings, both her husbands including my dad, and sadly 2 of her 4 children. Mum was diagnosed with Alzheimer's when she was 79.  Its been a long journey for all of our family, but especially for her.  She is the strongest willed person I have ever met and the only thing Alzheimer's has not taken from her is her will to live as her almost 99 years shows.  For the past 6 years she has been in long term care in my hometown of Belleville, where she receives care from a wonderful group of PSW's.  

I’m participating in the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s in Toronto at Fort York on Saturday, May 25, 2024. I am raising money on behalf of the Alzheimer Society of Toronto, so we can meet the growing demand for our programs and services.   

My goal this year is to raise $4,000 from friends, family and colleagues.  I will personally match that amount myself making it 8k in total.  The professionalism and dedication of our staff at AST is second to none.  The more money we raise, the more clients we can serve.
