Thank you for supporting me in raising awareness and funds that will make a difference in the lives of people living with dementia, their caregivers and families.
"Apu" means father in Hungarian. My dad died in November, 2024 from complications resulting from his frontotemporal dementia. We were fortunate that for the last year of his life, he was able to move into a long term care home where he received excellent support and assistance. I have seen first-hand what benefits come from this sort of facility both for my dad, as well as for my mom, who was his primary caregiver.
My daughter Lia and I are participating in the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s in Toronto this May, raising money on behalf of the Alzheimer Society Toronto, so they can meet the growing demand for programs and services in our community.
