Dear Friends and Family
I am walking for Moe, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s 7 years ago.
Our lives would be completely different without the Alzheimer’s Society.
It is not just for us, there are 750000 people in Canada who have dementia in all its different forms, and it is expected there will be 1 million by 2030 .
Everybody knows someone who has this disease, among your family and friends.
It is scary to hear a diagnosis that will change life as you know it. The stigma is hard to face.
When we joined Minds in Motion, an Alzheimer's program, which involves exercise and socializing, someone said “no judgement here, we are all in the same boat”.
Alzheimer’s provides support for both Dementia People and Care Givers. It helps those who are new, those who don’t know where to turn and those who are overwhelmed.
All of this takes money! 60% of the Alzheimer's Society budget comes from donations.
So, I shall walk with our team, Guelph Unforgettables.
Thank you for your generous support, small or big, you are making a difference!
Moe and Nadine
