Alzheimer’s is a devastating disease that changes so much for the person living with it and for the people who love them. Watching my mom go through this journey has been one of the hardest experiences for our family.
Despite everything Alzheimer’s has taken, it has not taken away who she is at her core. She is still incredibly loving, happy, and fun. She still knows every word to any oldie song and definitely still loves Elvis and ABBA. My mom's smile, warmth, and sense of joy continue to shine through every day and those moments mean more to us than words can express.
I’m participating in this walk to celebrate my mom, support families facing this disease, and help raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s research and care. Every donation, no matter the size, helps make a difference for families navigating this heartbreaking illness.
