Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters,

I'm reaching out to you with a deeply personal mission that's close to my heart. For the third year in a row, I'm participating in the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s in Windsor on May 24th to help raise money on behalf of the Alzheimer’s Society, so they can meet the growing demand for programs and services.   This cause is incredibly meaningful to me because Alzheimer's has touched my family in a profound way - my mom is battling this relentless disease. 

Watching my mom navigate through the challenges of Alzheimer's has been both heartbreaking and inspiring. Every day, she faces new hurdles, but she does so with grace, courage, sense of humor and an unwavering spirit. Equally important is watching my dad as a caregiver maneuver through the challenges, demands and ups and downs of this disease’s progression. Yet, I know that she’s just one of millions who are impacted by Alzheimer's, and that's why I'm committed to making a difference.

Alzheimer's not only affects individuals like my mom, but it also takes a toll on families and caregivers. My cousin Nicky and her husband are caregivers to their son Grant who has early on-set dementia (frontal lobe atrophy)  at the age of 22.  It robs people, no matter the age, of their memories, independence, and their sense of self.  But together, with your donation, we can provide the support, resources and training to deal with this disease.

Every step I take in this walk is a testament to my mom's strength and resilience. But it's also a symbol of our collective determination to make a difference. Together, we can walk towards a world where Alzheimer's is a thing of the past.
