Thank you for supporting my journey to fight Alzheimer’s disease.

Once again, this year I have committed to participating in the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s - the largest event for dementia awareness in the country. The Walk supports over 200 communities nationwide, all to support the Alzheimer Society and the incredible work they do to provide help to the millions of Canadians impacted by dementia.

On Saturday, May 24, 2025, I hope you'll join me and my team for a day of unity and community, where all of us come together in support of York Region residents impacted by dementia, to uplift those who need it, and truly make a difference. With every step we take, we inspire each other to give and provide resources to the Alzheimer’s community and that together we can find a cure.

Dementia can have a significant financial impact on families – costs for people with dementia are estimated to be 5.5 times greater than for individuals who have not been diagnosed with the condition. Over 650,000 Canadians live with dementia today, and that number is expected to double in 10 years as Canada’s population ages. We are all walking for someone.

Dementia is the fastest growing healthcare issue of our time. As more and more people are impacted, there is an increasing demand for Alzheimer Society programs and services - services that make all the difference in the way people are able to manage the disease and live life to the fullest. 

Since it started in 2015, the Walk for Alzheimer’s has raised over $50 million for those who are affected by Alzheimer and other forms of dementia.

By making a donation, you are helping the Alzheimer Society to continue to provide essential programs and services that work to effectively alleviate the personal and social consequences of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias within our community.
