Thank you for supporting my journey to fight Alzheimer’s disease!
I volunteer, raise money and have participated in the Alzheimer walks since the very beginning (from shopping malls, to community centres, to outdoor adventure centres, to Richmond Green, to this wonderful location in Oak Ridges). I have had the honour of serving the families living with this disease in York Region for the past 34 years.
I walk because my family has been touched by this disease. I walk for my paternal grandparents (Emily & Andrew), for great-grandparents, aunts & uncles and for friends who have been affected. I walk for the families that I work with and I will continue to walk.
I am "walking" again, this year! I will be assuming my usual place at the registration desk and will be happy greet you all!
Please consider supporting the Alzheimer Society of York Region, a very worthy cause to support. I am proud to say that we do good work supporting families and persons living with dementia across the Region of York. This year and every year I am committed to participating in the Walk for Alzheimer’s because the Alzheimer Society provides essential programs and services that work to effectively alleviate the personal and social consequences of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias within our community.
By making a donation you are helping the Alzheimer Society continue its important work towards a world without Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.
Thank you again for your kind and generous support.
