Dear Friends and Family,
As you know, this cause is near and dear to me. On September 29, 2025, my Mom, passed away after suffernin from dementia for nearly 10 years. Her one blessing - she recognized her family right until the end. This year the Fortier Foxtrotters are walking together- as so many people in our families have and continue to suffer from this dreadful disease. From Parents to Grandparents- we have felt the impact of the long goodbye, as the poeple who loved and cared for us loose themselves to this disease.
We are participating in the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s in York Region on May 30th to raise money on behalf of AS York Region (ASYR), so they can meet the growing demand for programs and services. These resources make a difference in the way that people affected by dementia are able to manage the disease and live life to the fullest. ASYR also focuses on caregiver support - a must for anybody that has taken care of someone with dementia
