As many of you know, I have always been a big supporter of the Alzheimer’s Society of York Region in the past through participation in the Walk a few years in a row, volunteer work and fundraising. Pre-covid we did a lot more than we did now but it is time that I feel we need to do more.

I have always walked in honour of the memory of my grandfather and grandmother, Mel and Edith Todd, who both lived with Alzheimer’s late in life. Two of the most cherished humans in my life and who made an lasting impact on me in my adult life.

I hope that you will open your heart to support me in raising awareness and funds that will make a difference in the lives of people living with dementia, their caregivers and families locally in York Region.

I, along with my partner David and my mom Sue, as well as my kids, will participating in the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s in York Region on May 25th to help raise money on behalf of AS York Region, so they can meet the growing demand for programs and services.

$10 from the sale of each bracelet goes directly to the Alzheimer’s Society of York Region through the walk. You can purchase this beautiful bracelet through our website as a pre-order and it will be available by Mother's Day if you order by April 15th.  Orders will be open right up until the walk though so you may order after that date as well.  If you are ordering from the Westport/Ottawa Valley, please don't pay for shipping as I will make sure you all get them by bringing it to my family in the area.

The second is with a straight donation to the Alzheimer’s Society Redefined Finds walk team and that can be done here. We thank you from the bottom of our heart for whatever donation you can make. No matter how small or big, you are making a difference in the lives of people affected by dementia.
