Like in many senior care environments, dementia plays a part in our day to day routines at The Mount. We are intimately aware of the unique changes and challenges that a journey with dementia can present to an individual, their family, and their community.

However, we also get to see firsthand some of the incredible work that is being done in PEI to support those who are living with or around dementia. The Alzheimer Society of Prince Edward Island is a shining leader in this area of work, and we are happy to be able to show our support for all they do.

The guidance, advocacy, education, and programs that they provide to individuals, families, and the community meet a need that is so widely felt, but difficult for many to access at a time in their lives that can already be unfamiliar and hard to navigate.
