The Mount is excited to support the Alzheimer Society of PEI by raising funds for their annual IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer's again this year.

We will be fundraising as a team (The Mount Walk & Rollers) through this online portal, as well as holding some in-person fundraising efforts in The Mount Community throughout the month of May. Stay tuned to our Facebook page, "The Mount Continuing Care Community" for more!

Prize Raffle:

For every $20 donation to our team's page, your name will be entered into a draw to win a needle-felted forget-me-not pin made by residents of The Mount (5 available).

For every $30 donation to our team's page, your name will be entered into a draw for a therapeutic adult colouring prize pack AND a needle-felted forget-me-not pin.

For every $40 donation to our team's page, your name will be entered into a draw for a Chicken Soup for the Soul prize pack AND a needle-felted forget-me-not pin.

For every $50 donation to our team's page, your name will be entered to win a "36-Hour Day" & Journalling prize pack AND a needle-felted forget-me-not pin.

Like in any senior care environment, dementia is present in the lives of many of our residents and their families, and plays a part in our day to day routines at The Mount. We are intimately aware of the unique changes and challenges that a journey with dementia can present to an individual, their family, and their community.

However, we also get to see firsthand some of the incredible work that is being done in PEI to support those who are living with or around dementia. The Alzheimer Society of PEI is a shining leader in this area of work, and we are happy to be able to show our support for all they do. The guidance, advocacy, education, and programs that they provide to individuals, families, and the community meet a need that is so widely felt, but difficult for many to access at a time in their lives that can already be unfamiliar and hard to navigate.
