Our team is raising money in support of the Alzheimer Society by participating in the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer's in [CITY] on [DATE].  We are walking in honour and memory of our cherished family member, Roger Sylvestre.  

About five years ago, Roger began to display signs of dementia.  He was assessed through various cognitive tests and it was concluded that he had mild cognitive impairment.  

As we embarked on this new journey, we contacted the Alzheimer’s Society.  We are so grateful for their assistance as they were able to direct us on this journey by providing resources for our situation.  They offered a listening ear in our many conversations.  Attending monthly support group meetings was most helpful.

We were able to participate in Minds in Motion, a community based fitness and social activity program that incorporated physical activity and mental stimulation.

Thank you, to family and friends, for your support and generosity – supporting the Alzheimer Society is so important.  We all hope for creating better understanding and more support for people with dementia.  Investing in research will help make a difference in the lives of people living with dementia.
