REGISTER today and JOIN us May 2025 for the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s!
Thanks to your support and commitment, since 2015 from coast to coast, we’ve raised over $50M to date. These critical funds help us provide and connect people to information, services and community programs such as counselling, respite care, support groups and more for people living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia across Canada.
Today, over 650,000 Canadians live with dementia and that number is expected to rise to 1 million by 2030. We need your continued support to ensure that people living with dementia, and those who love and care for them, have the resources they need, close to home
We hope you'll join us, and we will keep you updated with more exciting details in the months to come. We can't wait to see you in 2025!

Why Your Walk Matters
Funds raised support programs and services in your community that improve the quality of life for people living with dementia and their families. With over 62,000 people diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias in Alberta and Northwest Territories, and no cure yet, the need to support people with dementia and their care partners has never been greater.
Join us for this family-friendly event as hundreds of walkers make memories matter and raise awareness and funds to support people living with dementia in our region. The IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer's builds on the strength of thousands of community walks across the country, all raising funds and awareness for Alzheimer's disease and other dementias.
"As someone who lost my grandmother to dementia, and who is now caring for my dad through his diagnosis, I cannot tell you what it means to see this show of support from the community. To know that the people participating in the walk are here to make a difference in the lives of everyone affected by dementia, and to honour the people they love, gives me hope for the future." – Loving care partner and Walk participant
Step Counter
Support those impacted by dementia one step at a time with our online step counter! To track your steps on your personal fundraising page:- Login to your Participant Centre.
- Find the step tracker near the top of the Participant Centre and click “update your steps”.
- A small window will pop up. You will be required to enter your “step goal” that you would like to reach. Don’t worry, you can update this anytime and we encourage you to increase it if you beat it!
- Once you enter your goal, you can then enter the steps you have taken under “steps taken”. Please note, that every time you add your steps in the tracker, you must input your TOTAL number of steps. For example, if you walked 5,500 steps in one day, but 10,500 overall, you would input 10,500 into the tracker.
- Click “save” to save your step entries. When updating your steps, remember to add your overall total steps, not just steps from one session.
