IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer's, presented by Go Auto

Sunday, May 31, 2026

The IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer's, presented by Go Auto,  is the Alzheimer Society of BC and Yukon's largest fundraising event. The event will see participants in communities across British Columbia walk together on the last Sunday in May to honour people affected by dementia. Funds raised through the Walk are instrumental in helping the Alzheimer Society of BC and Yukon deliver programs and services to people affected by dementia and enable research to change the future of the disease. We couldn’t do this work without the generous efforts of our fundraisers and donors!

This Sunday, May 31, join more than 2,000 fellow British Columbians to show people living with dementia, as well as their families and caregivers, they don't have to walk alone.

Walk Your Way and Walk in a Box

If you’re unable to participate in one of our official in-person Walk events, but would still like to be involved this year, please consider:

  • Walk Your WayCan’t make it to an in-person Walk location? No problem! You can still show your support by walking in your own unique way, wherever and whenever it's convenient for you, in the month of May.

  • Walk in a Box Plan a small event with family, friends or coworkers. Walk in your neighbourhood or simply gather together and raise funds.

Volunteer

The Walk would not be possible without the support of volunteers deeply connected to their community. Each event is organized by passionate and committed community members — like you!

We’re in particular need of skilled individuals to help lead the Vancouver, Delta and Abbotsford organizing committees for the 2026 Walk in these communities.

We’re also seeking volunteers to join these organizing committees and always welcome inquiries about the committees for our other Walk locations around the province.

To learn more or share your interest in volunteering, please email our Events team at events@alzheimerbc.org or call 604-681-6530 (toll-free:1-800-667-3742).
