Thank you for your support and commitment. With the support of your community, we were able to raise over $59,000.00 in your area and more than $300,000.00 raised across Saskatchewan!

These funds are so critical to our work and allow us to provide hope and resources to people and families who are affected by dementia. Thanks to all of you, we are empowering people to live well with dementia through the delivery of programs, services, advocacy, awareness and research.

Today, over 750,000 Canadians live with dementia and that number is expected to rise to 1 million by 2030. We need your continued support to ensure that people living with dementia, and those who love and care for them, have the resources they need, close to home.

Join your fellow Saskatchewan walkers on Saturday, May 30, 2026, as a way show people living with dementia, their families, and their caregivers that they don’t have to walk their journey alone.

2026 Walk Honoree - Honoring Loretta J. Ring

Every person with dementia and their caregiver has a story.

Loretta Jane Ring built a 40+ year career as a Registered Medical Technologist, working in hospital laboratories across Canada with unmatched dedication. Beyond her career, she was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, and friend — a lover of books, a passionate hiker, and someone who approached life with curiosity and an unwavering commitment to caring for others. Loretta was a remarkable woman, but all her hard work and compassion could not spare her from a cruel fate. She was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease in 2018 and passed away on January 8, 2025. To honour Loretta's memory, her husband Myles McMorris arranged a gift of $10,000 to support the 2026 Regina Walk for Alzheimer's from the Loretta J. Ring – Aspire Funds at the Saskatchewan Community Foundation.

We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to help keep her spirit alive and to ensure that her name, and her legacy of compassion and hope, lives on.

Regina Walkers - Have your gift matched up to $10,000!

A special thank you to the G.Murray and Edna Forbes Foundation Fund at the Saskatchewan Community Foundation! Thanks to their leadership, every online donation made to the walk from now until Saturday, May 30th will be matched dollar for dollar, up for $10,000.

That means every gift made online will go twice as far in providing vital support to individuals and families affected by dementia. With the matching opportunity available only until May 30, now is the time to make your impact go further and help ensure more people receive the care, connection, and support they need.
