Why do we walk?
We walk to share hope with people living with dementia and their caregivers. We walk to ensure that vital programs, services and education remain available in the Suroît region. We walk because every step we take together brings us closer to a future where no one faces dementia alone.
The IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s is Canada’s largest fundraiser supporting dementia care. Join us at the Parc historique de la Pointe-du-Moulin on Sunday, May 31st, to walk with over 150 communities across the country.
The funds raised help to finance the free services including information, support, training, respite and stimulation, in both English and French, for people living with dementia and their families in the Suroît region. The Suroît region comprises the MRCs of Vaudreuil-Soulanges, Beauharnois-Salaberry, Haut-Saint-Laurent, as well as Kahnawake and the Greater Châteauguay area.
With over 8000 people in this region living with dementia the need is urgent.
As a country we’ve raised over $50 million – let’s keep going!
Who are you walking for?
Register today and walk with us at the beautiful Parc historique de la Pointe-du-Moulin in Notre-Dame-de-L’Íle Perrot. Registration is free and includes the site entry fee for all our walkers.
