Alzheimer's and dementia have touched our lives in a deeply personal way. My family and I are participating in this year's walk to honour and remember those who are, and were affected by dementia. 

Witnessing how this disease progresses has given us a different appreciation for how challenging it can be; not just for those diagnosed, but for their families and caregivers as well. As more and more people are impacted there is an increasing demand for Alzheimer Society programs and services. Services that make all the difference in the way that people are able to manage the disease and live life to the fullest.
