Since 2018 the Happy Wanderers, Marty Jordan and Lynda Moore, have stepped out annually in support of the Walk for Alzheimer’s. Journeying alongside our late husbands, Bill and Mike, we four were the beneficiaries of the services of the Alzheimer’s Society, Kingston and we know first-hand the important work they do.  Currently they serve over 4000 families (of blood and heart) who are living with dementia of one type or another.  Meeting the needs of this ever-growing client base requires skilled staff, strong connections, and creative programming, as well as the financial resources to help grow the services to meet the increasing demand.

The work of the Alzheimer’s Society brings light, hope and encouragement into situations that are often fraught with challenge, confusion and despair.  We hope you will join with us this year with your own encouragement and, as you are able, financial contributions.  Together we can make a positive difference for the thousands in our region, some possibly known personally to you, who are travelling the ups and downs of their own dementia journeys.  Thank you for your support.
