Join the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer's in Jarvis to help raise funds that empower people living with dementia to live well and stay connected to their community.

Walk 2,800 steps this May, one step for each person living with dementia in Haldimand Norfolk

We invite people of all ages and abilities to come walk with us in Jarvis. Walk a lot or walk a little - any time - the choice is yours!
On Event Day, Check-In: Jarvis Lawn Bowling Building; Warm Up & Start at 11am with official remarks at Noon.

When you arrive, check-in with Registration at the Lawn Bowling Building. When you're ready - you can make your way to the paved pathway and begin your walk around the park. The pathway is about 1km and loops back to the beginning, so you can do laps to increase your step count.  Parking available around the ball diamonds and community centre.  We have reserved parking at the lawn bowling building for our participants with accessibility needs. 

There is a covered pavillion where you can rest, socialize, listen to music, and enjoy a picnic lunch.  (Note:  The pavillion is located in a grassed area of the park).  Leashed dogs are welcome.

Pre-register online (or call the office) to let us know you'll be attending so we can properly plan for lunch.

We recognize that our supporters have busy lives and live in communities across Canada, so attending our event may not be possible.  We also know that when you are  living with dementia (or supporting someone who is) some days are more challenging than others and going to a gathering may not be doable.  In order to meet these special needs, we have an an option for virtual participation so that you can WALK YOUR WAY.  During the online registration process, simply select the WALK YOUR OWN WAY participation type.

Care Homes & Workplaces, are you concerned about gathering together?  Looking for a project for your residents or employees to get behind?  Host your own event using our Walk in a Box kit. 

Individuals who collect pledges can fundraise and earn great incentive prizes. Incentives can be picked up at the event.  Virtual participants will be contacted to make arrangements to receive their prizes.  

The prizes are cumulative, so if you achieve the top level you receive the prizes from the previous levels, too.  A participant will qualify for incentives based on their own individual fundraising total.  (NOTE:  Incentive awards are based on individual totals only.  Team totals do not apply.  Quantities are limited; we reserve the right to provide a substitution).

Cash & Cheque Donations
Please ensure that all cash/cheque donations are recorded with a full mailing addresses as this is required to issue tax receipts to the people that pledge to you. (Available for donations $20 or greter).  You can print a paper pledge form at home or visit our Hagersville, Simcoe, or Dunnville office to pick up a larger version (as of April 1st).
