The Hearing & Dizziness Clinic
We are participating in the Walk this year because dementia is the fastest growing healthcare issue of our time, and as audiology professionals, we see every day how closely hearing loss and cognitive decline are linked. According to the Lancet Commission on dementia prevention, untreated hearing loss is the single largest modifiable risk factor for dementia, accounting for roughly 7% of cases worldwide. That means addressing hearing loss early is one of the most powerful steps a person can take to protect their long-term brain health, which is why our clinic is proud to stand alongside the Alzheimer Society in this fight.
As more and more people are impacted, there is an increasing demand for Alzheimer Society programs and services. Services that make all the difference in the way people are able to manage the disease and live life to the fullest.
Please donate today and help us reach our fundraising goal. To do so, select the Donate Now button, or select the name of a team member to sponsor them individually.
By supporting our team, you are helping the Alzheimer Society continue to make a difference in the lives of people affected by dementia, and helping us raise awareness about the critical role hearing health plays in protecting cognitive function.
Thank you again for your generous commitment and support.
